As circulation manager for one daily, one weekly and one monthly publication and also managing the inserting and delivery operations for a commercial printing facility, Jamie Bailey says he spends a lot of his time putting out fires and making sure people get what they want.
“I enjoy working with the public,” Bailey said. “I don’t meet strangers.”
Bailey began his work as TPI circulation manager on Sept. 7 and has quickly grasped his new job. Previously he worked as supervisor of services for Russell Corp. in Alexander City.
He was born in Louisville, Ky., on Sept. 16, 1969, and was adopted by Bobby and Jean Bailey of Alexander City at the age of 6 months. Bailey has lived in Alexander City for 36 years and is heavily involved in the local community.
He is member of the Alexander City Civitans, has coached city league wrestling, soccer and baseball for the past 20 years and also teaches 7th grade boys Bible study at First Baptist Church of Alexander City. Bailey’s uncle, Charles E. Bailey, was mayor of Alexander City for 16 years.
Jamie and his wife Sabrina have been married for 17 years and have two children, Hunter, 16, and Kaitlyn, 12.
